The retreat is open to all levels of yoga knowledge, whether you are a lover of yoga or simply curious to start, you will be completely supported.

About

Wild View Retreat is located 40 mins north of Faro in the foothills of the Serra da Caldeiro mountains in the Algarve, it has arisen from the ruins of an abandoned mountain village in the foothills of the Algarve in Portugal.

Originally built by a Portuguese Army General in 1898, the ‘Manor House’ and surrounding ruins have undergone a 1.5 year restoration and redevelopment project, transforming the iconic setting into a bespoke wellness retreat.

Wild View Retreat Corgas Bravas is defined by its spectacular uninterrupted 360° views of the Serra do Caldeirão mountains, a Zona De Intervenção Florestal protected for its natural beauty and famous Portuguese cortiça (cork) trees.

There are no cars, no roads, no buildings, no neighbours.
Nothing but wilderness and nature.
Nothing to hear but the birds and the wind.
Nothing to do but restore and relax the body, mind and soul.

Food

One week retreat includes

• 7 Transformational Vinyasa morning flow yoga practices

• 5 Evening Lunar yoga practices

• All yoga props and mats are provided

• 7 nights accommodation at the Wild View Retreat

• 3 meals a day - brunch, light lunch & supper

Retreat doesn't include

• Transfers to and from the airport

• Flights or travel insurance

• Extra treats and activities

• Taxis to and from places locally

Whether it be your own luxurious single, twin or triple room with über comfy beds & en suite bathrooms, your own secluded outdoor Yurt or Shepherd’s hut on a private deck with impeccable views; you’ll find just what you need at Wild View.

The interiors have been tastefully designed & decorated with simple locally sourced materials. All outdoor accommodation has been built by hand using recycled wood reclaimed from the old ruins and local materials.

SUPERIOR rooMS

Superking size bed 180x200cm or Twin or Triple single beds 90x200cm

• French double doors with fly screen and stunning views of the mountains

• Underfloor heating (rarely needed)

• Ensuite walk-in shower, sink and toilet with shampoo, shower gel and hairdryer provided

• Hammock outside each room for personal use

Luxurious Glamping Yurt

• Superking size bed 180x200cm

• Set on secluded private deck overlooking the valley with stunning sunset views

• Electric fan & sockets included

• Fly mesh crown with sky views for hot summer months to enable air flow and retain cooler temperature

• Transparent crown with sky views for cooler months to retain warmer air inside

• Private rustic outdoor hot shower and compost toilet
  (Outdoor guests welcome to use Manor House facilities at all times if preferred)

• Sun loungers provided on deck for private use

• Note this is an outdoor option please bring a flash light and warmer clothes in the cooler season.

Shepherd’s huts

Brand new for 2022 (curtains will be added before we arrive!), these bring the feel of being inside a wood cabin, with all the walls and roof fully insulated from the sun by reflective and thermal insulation boards.

• Double bed 160x200cm or two single beds 80x200cm

• Located with great views yet in a private natural setting

• Fully insulated, plus fan & heater, windows & vents

• Wifi and electric power point

• Shared bathroom facilities: hot shower & compost dry toilet.

Travel

Nearest airport

There are frequent flights to Faro Airport all year round. The flight time is approximately 3 hours from London UK. 

Airport transfers (not included in cost of retreat)

The transfer time from Faro airport is approximately 45 minutes by car - note that it does go a bit off-road, so we have a recommended taxi company who knows the route.

• On the arrival Saturday transfers are from 4pm until 10.30pm

• On the departure Saturday from 6am to 10.30am.

Please book you flights to coincide with these times to avoid waiting at the airport. If we have enough people coming in at similar times we can organise group taxis to bring the cost down.

Terms & Conditions

CANCELLATION OF RETREAT BY APPLEYOGA

During these uncertain and new times surrounding Covid-19, it’s our primary desire that everyone stays healthy and safe! In case of any circumstances related to Covid-19 that affect our retreat, we are offering a more flexible cancellation policy.

In the unlikely event that the program is cancelled, full payments will be refunded less an admin fee or moved to another retreat in 2023. Travel expenditures will not be reimbursed, and are considered each individual's own liability. It is the responsibility of each participant to book their flights and to find out about flight schedule changes and Covid-19 regulations relevant for their trip.

Travel, medical & trip cancellation insurance is strongly recommended. 

CANCELLATION OF ATTENDANCE BY STUDENT - NON-COVID RELATED

• Once booked on your retreat your deposit is nonrefundable and non transferable unless we can fill your space.

• 60 days or more prior to the retreat date: Your payments will be 50% refunded, less your deposit or 100% credit voucher

• 59-30 days prior to the retreat date: Your payments will be 25% refunded, less your deposit or 50% credit voucher

• 29 days or less prior to the retreat date: payments are not refundable and no credit voucher if offered.

• Credit Vouchers are non-transferable and valid until the end of 2023

CANCELLATION OF ATTENDANCE BY STUDENT - COVID RELATED

You may request a refund in the event of government-mandated restrictions on travel, or a positive COVID test which results in a forced and involuntary inability to attend the retreat. Please understand that an actual travel restriction is different from personal choice to not travel, and includes the following situations:

• Positive Covid test (doctor’s note required)

• Travel restriction on Portugal at the time of the retreat

• Travel restriction on your country of flight origin at the time of the retreat

Proof (in English) of government-mandated restrictions and/or positive test results must be submitted with an emailed cancellation request.

• Cancellation 30+ days - 100% will be refunded less £50 admin fee

• Cancellation less than 30 days of retreat start - 100% credit voucher for the amount paid less £50 admin fee

Credit Vouchers are non-transferable and valid until the end of 2023
